I'm a do-it-youselfer. No matter what the task is, after careful thinking and consideration, I usually end up doing it myself. Running a new 220 volt circuit, building a tiles shower, putting together a web site. Surgery I'd shy away from -- unless it wasn't too deep. Then I could Google, library, & figure it out. I'm opinionated and cheap, er, frugal -- which gives me little alternatives in the doing.
And so the web construction goes. Lifting bits of code from various unknowing donors. My grand scheme is a Movabletype /Gallery hybrid that looks simple, clean and unique (well, unique for those who haven't visited my donors -- originality being the ability to hide one's sources).
A week ago I had no idea of stylesheets, classes, PHP. Now, I'm a novice. I know, not a great leap. But the fact is that I don't want to know this stuff. I know this stuff only for the end product. Nor do I care about amps & three-way-switches for lights, but for being able to do it myself. Skills are a means to executing a vision, but not particularly interesting or useful per themselves.
So the Photos section is up, with a couple of albums in it. I'll be working on uploading more albums and integrating the design with this page. Enjoy!
