I have never been to Wardensville, WV. And there's a very likely chance I will never go. But I did see it on my flight back west, and it appeared to be very small.
I love the moving panorama of the window seat. From above you can experience the changing landforms of the country -- the ridged mountains of VA & WV changing to the textured hills of western WV, then calming down to the flat plains in OH. The Jeffersonian Public Land Survey System picks up in Ohio and gives the landscape its unmistakable township & range grid pattern for the rest of the country.
For this shot, I used a camera converted to capture infrared light. I've found that an IR camera is the best way to take photos in the air - the IR camera cuts through the atmospheric haze.
