Scan-o-rama #1

Fireworks

And for the last Scan-o-rama feature, a slide from eighteen years ago to the day. Here are some Independence Day fireworks from 1990.
I hope you've enjoyed Scan-o-rama. I'll have some other features coming soon.

Christmas 1964

And what would Scan-o-rama be without a fat baby picture. Here's me from 1964. I look to be pleased with my Christmas.

Scan-o-rama #3

I was living in Richmond, VA, in 1989, just a couple of blocks down from the Davis Memorial (pictured here) on Monument Ave. I have to say that I had the most fun living in Richmond than I've had anywhere else. Then again, I don't see how you can not have fun living anywhere in your 20s.

GW at Cape Kennedy

I must have been twelve. Our family trip to Florida was in 1975. It was timed so that we could see the launch of the Viking Mars landers, but they got pushed back so we didn't. I shot 110 slide film - don't ask me why. My mom took this one before we went on the bus tour of the Kennedy Space Center.

Balance Rock

From our 2002 trip to Utah, Balance Rock in Arches NP.

Scan-o-rama #6

Dixie Pig Sign

Another sign from '89. The wonderful old Dixie Pig restaurant on Richmond Hwy, between Alexandria and Mount Vernon.

Scan-o-rama #7

Baby Z

I make no secret of my disdain for infants. As a male, they have no interest in me, nor I in them. But they get better with age, or at least my daughter has. This one's from 1992 when Zoe was a couple of months old.

Pines Hotel Sign

Back when I had pretensions of artistry (and when I had a lot of spare time during the day when I was bartending) I'd do photo shoots. I'd give myself a topic and go out there and find it. This one's from a 1990 shoot of Route 1 south of Alexandria, VA. It's from the Pines Motel and was slated for demolition when I took this.
