If a twelve-year-old boy was given surplus 1/8 inch plywood paneling, foam rubber, and outdoor carpeting, the Super View Lodge is what he would build. Since each room has one sheet of plywood each, that means the walls are a whole 1/4 inch thick. And the floors are a bit moonbounce-ish with the carpet over the foam rubber. And the second story was not six feet high. Yes, I'll repeat that - the second story was less than six feet high. I couldn't stand up on the second floor. Luckily, our room was on the third floor.

With the folks next to us talking and smoking well after we had retired, I was kinda worried all night that the whole pace would burn down. But remember, it's not "Super Lodge," it's "Super View." We skipped the obligatory Ghorepani pre-dawn Poon Hill hike, and we had a perfect view of Dhauligiri right from our room. The view balanced out the room, but I'd try someplace else.

Teahouse prices include lodging and dinner for two.
