Let's face it. You're not staying at High Camp for the food, or for the views, or for any reason other than getting a jump on the Thorung Las pass the next morning. So any review is not going to matter - you are closer to the pass and will get there sooner if you overnight here. So instead of a review, here's some tips:

1. Bring a book or strike up a conversation - you'll probably get there with plenty of time to kill before bed
2. Wear your sleeping bag at dinner - despite this being the coldest lodge, they really don't heat it
3. Be careful in the toilet - ice builds up around the squat toilets (and it's not from the drifting snow) crampons might be useful

Lonely Planet isn't to keen on High Camp, but it's not all that bad. Just watch your footing.
